JUNIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an extremely driven, proactive and hard working person to join our team and gain valuable experience and knowledge.  The Junior Graphic Designer role is a full-time position operating in fast paced, continuously evolving environment surrounded by a passionate team of professionals.

Reporting to the GM Media, Marketing & Communications, the position of Junior Graphic Designer will assist the Design Manager and Graphic Designer in servicing all of the club’s in-house graphic design needs to help engage, inform and entertain members and supporters.

The Role

The Junior Graphic Designer will be required to:

- Create and design eDM’s, social media and website graphics, flyers, brochures, booking forms, promotional collateral, reports and proposals, invitations, menus, signage, media release templates, media backdrop designs and game promotion across all departments
-Ensure all communications and design work are in-line with the club’s brand image and positioning
-Ensure club and sponsor logos are used in accordance with relevant guidelines

What we’re looking for

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design
- Outstanding skills in the Adobe suite including: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat
- Photography skills beneficial
- Knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Creative – capable of independent thinking
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
- A calm temperament with a good sense of humour
- Willingness to take direction, constructive criticism and work within a tightly specified brief
- A passion for sport, knowledge of Australian Rules Football and the North Melbourne Football Club beneficial
- Team player
- A valid Victorian Working with Children check.

VIDEO PRODUCER

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an extremely driven, proactive and hard working person to join our team and gain valuable experience and knowledge.  The Video Producer role is a full-time position operating in fast paced, continuously evolving environment surrounded by a passionate team of professionals.

Reporting to the Head of Digital, the position of Video Producer will assist the media team to enhance its video and multimedia offering across the club’s various digital channels to help engage, inform and entertain members and supporters.

Role & Responsibilities

- Create compelling video content to generate additional website, app video views and increase fan engagement
- Film training and other football-related activities as required, including VFL and AFLW
- Use analytics to form new ideas, innovate and commercialise video properties
- Work closely with other video staff to ensure consistent, high quality products
- Encode and export final video projects
- Ensure club is up-to-date with latest technology and trends

Skills & Attributes

- Demonstrated video production skills and experience, including strong camera operation and editing skills
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Willingness to work to a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends and outside of business hours
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to build internal and external relationships to provide greater opportunities for enhanced, compelling content
- Ability to adapt to different situations and groups of people
- A team worker with a 'can do' mentality who keeps abreast of relevant industry trends
- Knowledge/proficiency in Canon/Sony camera workflow
- Skilled in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop, knowledge of Adobe suite products

MEDIA COORDINATOR, COMMUNITY

The North Melbourne Football Club is recognised as one of the most social progressive and innovative organisations in Australian sport.  The Media Coordinator, Community, is a full-time position responsible for all communications, social media, public relations and events to maximise program participation and promote the achievements of The Huddle and the Club’s community programs in schools, junior football clubs, community activations and charitable partnerships across Victoria and Tasmania.

About The Huddle
Established in 2010, The Huddle is a joint initiative of the North Melbourne Football Club, the Scanlon Foundation and the Australian Multicultural Foundation with the aim to engage, support and empower young people to build on their strengths, increase their ability to participate in society and contribute to more socially inclusive communities.

Since inception, The Huddle programs have engaged more than 50,000 young people from the areas of North Melbourne, Flemington, Kensington and West Melbourne.  More recently, The Huddle’s programs have grown to support youth in some of Australia’s fastest growing municipalities, including Wyndham and Hume.

The Role
Reporting to the Communications Strategy Manager, the position of Media Coordinator, Community will:

- Develop and implement an integrated communications plan for The Huddle, community programs and charitable partnerships
- Run The Huddle’s social media channels and increase audience, reach and engagement
- Create, maintain and monitor regular website content
- Produce regular high-quality publications and e-newsletters for key stakeholders
- Create innovative content through videos, publications and images to maximise reach and engagement of key audiences and increase public relations
- Develop and maintain a calendar of communications and events/activities, and promote awareness of key opportunities across the organisation
- Provide ongoing support and advice across the organisation to achieve brand and narrative consistency across all communication channels
- Maintain a library of permissions and consent for use of images
- Draft media/communications materials (media releases, web copy, fact sheets, opinion pieces, speeches)
- Proofing or copy-editing of reports, submissions and publications
- Primary point of contact for all Huddle media enquiries.

What we’re looking for
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

- Minimum of two years’ relevant practical experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to different situations and groups of people
- A team worker with a ‘can do’ attitude who keeps abreast of worldly trends including political, social and economic
- Proven experience in developing and executing communications and marketing collateral
- Experience working with you people from multicultural and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island backgrounds will be highly regarded

CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT & FUNDRAISING MANAGER

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an extremely driven, proactive and hard working person to join our Commercial team. 

The Role
Reporting to the General Manager – Commercial and Strategy, the position of Corporate Development & Fundraising Manager will assist the NMFC Commercial team in driving strategic revenue creation opportunities in fundraising, corporate sales, events, bequest and sponsorship.  You will:

- Develop the Club’s fundraising strategy to assist with the expansion of the Club into VFL and AFLW as well as the expansion of the Arden St precinct
- Develop and maintain strategies, policies and systems to generate income in line with annual funding targets
- Build and maintain partnerships with key funding bodies, the corporate sector, philanthropy, donors and local businesses to increase annual revenue
- Lead the growth in Coterie members and corporate revenue sales
- Lead the development and integration of a bequest program, including the development of a bequest database
- Manage the administrative requirements of the fundraising and bequest program
- Research the external business environment to assist in identifying marketing and promotion opportunities for fundraising
- Work closely with the Commercial team to develop integrated approaches to increase sponsorship revenue

What we’re looking for
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

- Highly developed customer service and relationship management skills
- Effective self-management, including the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and time management
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Experience with managing budgets and reporting
- Strong understanding of CRM applications
- Experience in fundraising and income generation

A valid Victorian Working with Children Check is required.

COMMUNITY SPORT & RECREATION COORDINATOR

We are currently recruiting for two (2) Community Sports & Recreation Coordinators to join our Community Engagement team.

The Role
Reporting to the Manager, Schools & Community Engagement and working closely with the Manager – The Huddle, the primary objectives of the role are:

- Program delivery with an emphasis on programs and activities for diverse communities
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key external community groups, partners and stakeholders.

What we’re looking for
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

- A tertiary degree or experience in the field of sport & recreation/coaching/community development
- Relevant experience working with children and young people from multicultural and/or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities is highly regarded
- Experience in program planning, delivery and review
- High level communication skills (oral and written)
- Energetic and driven
- Capable of working a wide array of hours with a varying time schedule to suit the seasonal priorities of the football industry including afterhours and weekends

A valid Victorian Working with Children Check and Drivers Licence is required.
