North Melbourne’s annual community camp in Ballarat will conclude with the players’ first major test for 2013 – an intra-club match at Eureka Stadium.

The Kangaroos’ hard-work from the pre-season will be put on show as team-mates face-off and with NAB Cup spots on the line, they won’t need any added motivation.

For off-season additions Ben Jacobs, Taylor Hine, Dan Currie and Jordan Gysberts, it’ll be the first real chance to represent North in competition, while the hit-out could provide an opportunity for draftees such as Taylor Garner and Mason Wood to make an early impression.

The entire list will spend two days in the Ballarat region, visiting local football clubs, community hubs and primary schools.

There’ll be a focus on nurturing leadership skills and the chance for the younger players to learn a few tips and tricks from the best.

It’s the fifth consecutive year the club has visited Ballarat for its Community Camp.
