The last time Daniel Wells’ name was included on a North Melbourne team sheet was way back in Round 5 when the club took on Collingwood.

16 weeks later, he’s finally back.

Selected as part of the Roos’ 25-man squad to take on the Bulldogs on Sunday, the Wells name stands out more than any other on the list because of the immense impact he can have on a game.

The 28-year-old was sidelined with a nasty footy injury following a training mishap with forward Drew Petrie. He played one game with North Ballarat in the VFL, but did enough to justify a return to the big league at Etihad Stadium.

Levi Greenwood has also been included after missing last week’s win over the Giants with a leg injury. The midfielder has been the side’s most improved player this season and will provide plenty of run and contested footy. Mason Wood is still in with a shot of making his AFL debut.

There’s still no sign of Lachlan Hansen who was a last withdrawal against the GWS with a hip concern.

No omission have been declared as yet, with the final teams to be announced on Friday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs have made five inclusions - Daniel Giansiracusa, Jarrad Grant, Jason Tutt, Jason Johannisen and Tom Young. Easton Wood (hand) and Nathan Hrovat (ankle) have been ruled out due to injury.
