Another player will make his return after a long-term injury on Saturday, as Jamie Macmillan lines up for Werribee.

It will be Macmillan's first game since breaking his fibula in Round 3 against Port Adelaide. An important part of the North Melbourne side, the defender had played 49 consecutive games until the injury.

Scheduled to play a full match, Macmillan could be a valuable inclusion into the Kangaroos side if it is to to secure a berth in the finals.

Werribee is yet to secure a finals spot, making Saturday's clash against Sandringham a vital one for its September aspirations. The game will be broadcast live on ABC TV in Victoria.

With Majak Daw now out for the season with a subtalar dislocation (foot), Daniel Currie is set to take the lion's share of the ruck duties, while also spending time as a key-position forward.

Down back, Scott McMahon and Taylor Hine will take two of Sandringham's most dangerous forwards.

Meanwhile in North Ballarat, the Roosters play their last home game of the season against Williamstown on Saturday.

Coming off an impressive first game back from injury, Joel Tippett will anchor the Roosters' defence - one that has conceded the third fewest points in the VFL.

Liam Anthony is eyeing another strong performance to back up his 13 tackle, 10 clearance outing. With better weather conditions forecast for this weekend, the midfielder will likely be able to show off his outside game as well.

Also in the midfield, Trent Dumont and Brad McKenzie will look to guide the Roosters to victory. Mitch Wilkins is coming off three last quarter goals against Geelong and is providing a threat at ground level up forward.
