Andrew Swallow capped his best game of 2014 with a perfect 10 votes from Brad Scott and Brendan McCartney.

The North captain registered season highs in disposals (29), tackles (11), clearances (10) and inside 50’s (7).

Perhaps even more impressively, Swallow did his work in just 70 per cent of game time; the lowest of any Roo that wasn’t involved in a substitution.

Down back, the efforts of the defenders were recognised. Scott Thompson polled three votes and Michael Firrito two.

The Bulldogs only kicked eight goals on Sunday and were kept extremely quiet in three of the four quarters. Thompson (eight spoils, five intercept marks) and Firrito (seven spoils, three intercept marks) were large factors in the excellent defensive performance.

Ben Cunnington was the other Kangaroo to poll. His four last quarter goals earned him two votes, cutting Brent Harvey’s lead to seven at the top of the NMFC leaderboard.

It’s the second consecutive week Cunnington has polled after a perfect 10 against the GWS Giants in Round 20.
