He just signed a two-year contract extension, but Joel Tippett has been dealt another blow with news he’s set to miss another week of football with injury.

The 25-year-old only just made his way back after tearing his pectoral muscle in Round 10 versus Geelong and will now face another week on the sidelines with a calf injury. Playing with North Ballarat, Tippett was performing well but pulled up sore and will be rested.

Robbie Nahas is expected to play next week making it ten weeks since he injured his shoulder against the Crows.

A crucial component of the North side, Nahas’ return could come just in time for the club’s finals campaign. The club has listed his injury as ‘one week’ and if he successfully gets through training, he’s likely to resume via the VFL.

The former Tiger has played eight games with the Roos so far this season and could help propel the team deep into September with his forward pressure and goal kicking ability.

All eyes will be on key Roos Lachlan Hansen, Lindsay Thomas and Jack Ziebell at Arden Street with the trio facing fitness tests ahead of Saturday’s clash with Adelaide in Hobart.
