North Melbourne development coach Jarred Moore has won his second consecutive Werribee best and fairest award.

Moore, also the captain of the Tigers, won the Bruce Montgomery Trophy by five votes. His coach John Lamont was rapt for the midfielder.

“Jarred is a quality footballer who leads by example,” Lamont said.

“His ability to win the contested ball and then put his teammates into space is of the highest order.

“He reads the game well and uses his experience and knowledge around the stoppages to get the best advantage for the team.

“To win back to back B&F’s is a real credit to him.”

There were a further three Kangaroos in Werribee’s top 10. Tim McGenniss finished equal fourth with 26 votes, with Scott McMahon just behind on 22.

Mason Wood rounded out the top 10 with 18 votes after kicking 29 goals for the season, second at the club.
