Season in review

After completing his first ever full pre-season, Jacobs benefited with arguably the best of his four year AFL career.

Jacobs made three early appearances in the North Melbourne side as a substitute and inside midfielder, delivering with an impressive final term against Port Adelaide in Round 3.

The left-footer then went back to North Ballarat and looked a class above in most of his outings. In his first four VFL games for the year, Jacobs averaged an astounding 36.5 disposals per game.

Eventually the quality VFL form earned him a recall to the senior side, as he played 11 of the last 12 games for the year. In a departure from his normal role, he played as a half-back and consistently provided another avenue for North to rebound from defensive 50.

Jacobs was rewarded for his solid 2014 with a new one-year contract.
