North Melbourne is poised to smash another membership record with increasing interest and hype in the team ahead of the 2015 season.

The club is closing in on its target of 25,000 members before Christmas with 23,267 already on board at December 15.

That leaves just 1,733 supporters to reach the milestone.

The Roos broke the 40,000 mark for the first time in season 2014 and all indications point to another benchmark being set with the club ahead by 1,762 members at the same time last year.

The current total includes 1,473 brand new members and a third game in Hobart is expected to result in an uplift in Tasmanian members on last season.

All supporters and those yet to sign up are urged to come to Arden Street on Thursday for an open training session; the team’s last training before the holidays begin.

Brad Scott, Andrew Swallow and the team will be available for photos and autographs following the session which is set to begin at around 11.00am and conclude at 1.30pm.

Supporters will also have the opportunity to watch the club’s latest recruits in action. Jarrad Waite and Shaun Higgins will be up and about, while the draftees Sam Durdin, Daniel Nielsen and Ed Vickers-Willis will be out to impress as well as rookies Braydon Preuss and Will Fordham.
