Both North Melbourne’s VFL affiliates will begin their 2015 season this weekend.

In a late venue change, Werribee will open its season against Geelong at Simonds Stadium on Friday night.

Key-position players Majak Daw and Daniel Currie will likely be key to the Tigers’ chances in the senior contest, while fellow ruckman Eric Wallace has his first game of 2015 in the development league.

Draftees Will Fordham and Ed Vickers-Willis are likely to spend most of their time in the midfield, mixing up both the inside and outside.

In Ballarat on Sunday, there could be as many as eight Kangaroos in action.

North Ballarat’s forward line will feature Aaron Black, Sam Durdin and Braydon Preuss. The trio have already spent time playing together in the practice matches.

In the midfield Trent Dumont will look to continue his ball-winning ways. With the long-term injury of Nick Dal Santo, there could be an opportunity opening up through the centre of the ground for North Melbourne.

Much like the Roosters’ forward line, the defensive half will also have a strong contingent of Kangaroos.

Joel Tippett is named to fill a key defensive slot, while Max Warren, Ben Jacobs and Brad McKenzie will round out the majority of the back six.

Match reports from both games will be on NMFC.com.au shortly after their conclusion.
