Richmond midfielder Brett Deledio is hoping to make himself available for Saturday's clash against North Melbourne.

Deledio has been sidelined for the past four games with a calf complaint, but trained strongly on Tuesday to push his case for a call-up.

"It felt good . . . I’ve just got to wait and see," he told the Tigers' website.

"If I pull up really well, then 100 per cent I’ll put my hand up.

"I probably wouldn’t play a full game, but if that means being vested one way or the other, and I play my part, well, then, I’m happy with that."

Deledio was a key contributor in the teams' NAB Challenge meeting, finishing with 23 disposals and nine marks.

He'll face another test on Thursday before a final call is made on his availability.

"It won’t be as big a session as I did today, but hopefully I’ll recover well and, with a bit of luck, I’ll jump on the plane with the boys and be pulling on the boots.

"I’m looking forward to it, too .... I’ve had enough (of being on the sidelines)."
