Robin Nahas says the quality of North’s small forward brigade is providing the club ‘a real advantage’ in 2015.

Since being promoted from the rookie list in round two, the former Tiger has been in fine form.

Hard work and a positive attitude have been vital to Nahas' success', but he's also praised his teammates for their support.

"Being fourth in line behind Lindsay (Thomas), Higgo (Shaun Higgins) and Boomer (Brent Harvey) makes it a lot easier to get a kick," Nahas joked on SEN.

"With so much class in the forward line and getting in the side, it actually makes it easier to play well. For me, it’s a massive benefit for my football.

"Most teams don’t have enough small defenders to cover that, so it’s a real advantage we have and hopefully we can keep exploiting it."

Nahas booted two goals in the win over Richmond, with Thomas, Higgins and Harvey combining for ten between them.

But it wasn’t just the Roos’ smalls who made an impact.

"We have a great balance (of forwards), led by Drew Petrie of course," Nahas said.

"His leadership in that forward line is second to none and he really sets us up.

"He makes sure the other forwards are in the right positions, he lets you know if you are not doing the right thing by the team.

"We’ve got our trademarks which we stand for each week and if we are not doing them right he’s the first one to tell us, but he’s also the first one to tell us if we are really setting an example for the team."

After a disappointing loss to Hawthorn the week previous, Saturday’s 35-point victory has North back within reach of the top eight.

"We haven’t started as well as we’d have liked, but at the same we’re three and three and it’s a long season.

"We know that our best football is to come and we need to do that at the business end. Hopefully we can continue to build to something pretty special this year."

Over 16,000 fans packed Blundstone Arena for the clash against the Tigers, with the Roos’ players embracing their home away from home.

"I really enjoyed it out there. The crowd was fantastic and we’ve won five out of seven there so it’s becoming a little bit of a fortress there for us," Nahas said.

His comments were echoed by vice-captain Jack Ziebell.

"It’s becoming a little bit of a fortress down there," Ziebell said on the Sunday Footy Show.

"The blue and white supporters are all in the grandstand. It’s (the big crowd) a great result for our footy club and the town of Hobart as well."
