Drew Petrie was unanimously judged best on ground against Brisbane by Brad Scott and Justin Leppitsch.

The veteran was the most dangerous forward at the Gabba, kicking four goals and collecting 16 disposals in the Kangaroos' big win. Petrie’s haul drew him level with Shaun Higgins atop the club goal kicking chart with 27.

Nick Dal Santo polled for the second week in a row, backing up from his two votes against Essendon with a further eight against the Lions.

Dal Santo was a big reason for North’s good start on Saturday. The Roos led by 28 points at quarter time, with the midfielder collecting 11 disposals and four clearances in the first term. He finished the evening with 25 disposals and eight clearances, the latter a team high.

In his 400th game, Brent Harvey was once again excellent polling five votes. The enormity of the occasion didn’t get to the veteran, showcasing his trademark run and carry with a team high 27 disposals and also two goals.

Ben Jacobs’ excellent run of tagging form continued, receiving three votes for his job on Tom Rockliff. The Brisbane midfielder was restricted to only 16 disposals and two clearances.

Meanwhile Shaun Higgins received two votes for his performance; the fifth game of the season he has caught the eye of the coaches.
