He captured the attention of football fans Australia-wide in Round 23 with a brilliant running goal, and on Saturday Majak Daw’s pace will be put to the test against the league’s fastest players.

The North big man is set to line up in the AFL Grand Final Sprint in the lead-up to the  big game.

He’ll take on the likes of Charlie Cameron (Adelaide), Darcy Lang (Geelong) and Darcy Moore (Collingwood) in the first heat, aiming to win a spot in the final.

The final will be run at half-time in front of more than 95,000 fans at the MCG.

Earlier in the day, Drew Petrie will test his kicking power in Fox Footy’s Longest Kick competition.

The vice-captain faces some stiff competition as he attempts to kick the ball 75 metres across the Yarra River, with Dustin Fletcher (Essendon), Travis Cloke (Collingwood) and Taylor Walker (Adelaide) among those competing for a $10,000 prize.
