First half review – Gavin Brown

“He’s played a few back now and last week, especially, was a really solid defensive game and pleasing from the point of view of what he needs to do to get back to playing senior AFL footy.

“You’d expect him to be at that stage now that he has some games in his legs.”

Second half review – Ben Dyer

“We really wanted him to focus on the one-on-one defending aspect of his game, because we know what he can do offensively by breaking lines and attacking off half-back.

“He should be good to go for the start of pre-season which is handy. Last summer he had surgery which set him back and wasn’t ideal. With an uninterrupted summer he’ll be set for a really good run at it.”

In the news

August 12 – Mullett re-signs – STORY

"It's pretty easy for me. If I defend well, I get the ball back and it's clear that's what I'm in the team for. But if I go away from that, then I won't be in the team – it's that simple."

July 15 – Mullett’s nervous moments – STORY

"I didn't really have much of a pre-season either so I didn’t really have a big base to work on so it took me a month until I started feeling good.”
