At the end of each season, there is the obligatory discussion about who could take “Charlie” home. Footy fans stretch their memories back to games played several months prior in an effort to identify their club’s best chance at winning the coveted award.

This year NMFC.com.au is asking for your help to determine the three best players from each game and you can vote in the Mazda Spirit Awards for your best three Kangaroos.

Travis Boak – PAFC

The Port Adelaide captain was everywhere on Saturday, 32 disposals his highest tally for 2016.

Ben Brown – NMFC

North’s most dangerous forward, Brown kicked three goals and could have finished with a couple more.

His 16 disposals and 10 marks were both career highs.

Robbie Gray – PAFC

Gray’s 35 disposals were more than any other player on the ground, and he also chipped in with two goals.

Brent Harvey – NMFC

In game 425, Harvey was arguably his side’s best player. His 29 disposals included two goals and 14 score involvements.

Jackson Trengove – PAFC

The winner of the ruck duel, Trengove was influential around the ground, with 22 disposals, seven clearances and six tackles.

Justin Westhoff – PAFC

A blistering first quarter from Westhoff set the tone for the match. While the Port utility was quieter after that, he still had 20 disposals and kicked three goals.
