Robbie Tarrant continues to go from strength to strength in a key-defensive post this season, and Saturday’s outing against Hawthorn was no exception.

For the second time this year, Tarrant kept dangerous Hawks’ forward Jack Gunston quiet, while having a huge impact himself.

North’s number 25 finished with 19 disposals, 10 marks, 4 rebound 50s, 6 inside 50s and 4 tackles in a strong all-round game.

Tarrant polled six votes from the coaches, despite the Roos’ 40-point loss.

He now moves to 29 votes for 2016, fourth at North behind Todd Goldstein (51 votes), Jack Ziebell (42) and Daniel Wells (35).

Ziebell polled for the first time since Round 11, but for the ninth time in arguably the best season of his career.

The onballer finished with 22 disposals, 5 clearances and five inside 50s against the Hawks.
