With the Trade Period currently underway, NMFC.com.au takes a look back at some of North Melbourne's most noteworthy trades since the National Draft was introduced.

1999

In: Leigh Colbert, Pick 53 (Clayton Lassock)
Out: Cameron Mooney, Pick 15 (David Spriggs), Pick 17 (Ezra Bray), Pick 47 (Corey Enright) (Geelong)

Geelong’s captain, Colbert requested to be traded and he found a new home at North. His courage and disregard for his body meant he spent time on the sidelines, but it also endeared the defender to the Kangaroos’ style of football.

Mooney departed Arden St after a premiership in his rookie season and by the time he retired at the end of 2011, he was regarded as a Geelong hero after winning two more in 2007 and 2009.
