North Melbourne’s partnership with apparel provider Canterbury will continue on for at least another six seasons.

After first signing a successful three-year partnership ahead of the 2015 season, the club and Canterbury can today confirm they have signed a lengthy new agreement.

As part of the deal, Canterbury will continue to provide high quality training and playing apparel for players, staff and fans until at least 2022.

North Managing Director and CEO Carl Dilena said the club was delighted to announce the extended partnership.

“We have been thrilled to work with Canterbury over the past two seasons and had no hesitations in extending our partnership for a further five years on top of our initial three-year deal,” Dilena said.

“The feedback from our fans as well as our players and staff has been fantastic. The quality of our apparel is exceptional.

“With our new logo introduced this season, Canterbury’s apparel for season 2017 has received overwhelmingly positive feedback.”

Canterbury Managing Director Jamie Meikleham said it was exciting to be continuing to work with the Roos.

“The decision to move forward again with North was an easy one, given our shared values and heritage, we both have a focus and ambition to succeed at the highest level,” Meikleham said.

“Our partnership has allowed us to showcase our innovation and technology at the elite level and provide a quality range for the fans.

“North Melbourne’s 2017 guernseys are engineered using Canterbury’s latest high performance fabric, which delivers optimum strength and moisture management for a lightweight and comfortable feel. The fabric also delivers significant stretch capabilities, which allows a tight fit to help players evade the opposition without restricting movement.

“Canterbury has a long and proud history partnering with both elite and grassroots sporting teams and athletes and we look forward to growing our footprint within the AFL and engaging with the NMFC community.”
