North hits the road for the second time in 2017, taking on the Dockers in Perth on Saturday night.

While the Roos have earned plenty of respect with their performances so far this year, with four losses from four games, how will the mix change this week?

NMFC.com.au looks at those in line for a call-up.

Defenders

While Werribee lost its opening round clash against Geelong in the VFL, Ed Vickers-Willis could hold his head high with a clear best-on-ground performance in defence.

With the Dockers boasting an agile forward line with more smalls than talls, the 2014 draftee could be in the frame for a debut.

Omitted from the team last week, Sam Durdin had an impressive half in particular for the Tigers, and could get another chance if the match-ups suit.

Midfielders

Ryan Clarke was a standout at VFL level, booting four goals to go with 27 disposals. Against a quality Dockers’ on-ball brigade, he could add some extra run and carry.

Jed Anderson also impressed for Werribee, with his work in close and on the defensive side a feature. Having not played in the AFL since the Elimination Final, he could be close to a return.

Likewise Declan Mountford and Corey Wagner, the fellow 2015 draftees both performing strongly to push their case for selection.

Forwards

Back for his first game of 2017, Mason Wood got through his comeback game and played three and a half quarters.

Post-match, Wood was confident he’d be right to go if called upon for the clash against Fremantle.

Having not played since Round 2, Majak Daw will put his hand up for a recall. The number 38 didn’t have a huge game for Werribee, but would provide another key target in attack.
