Two wins in a row has North Melbourne full of confidence.

A number of the Roos talked post-match about how the victory against Adelaide unfolded, and the key talking points to emerge from the game.

Trent Dumont

“We came here with a really good mindset and got the job done.

“Conditions were a bit tough so it was brutal in the contest today. I think me and the rest of the boys did that pretty well.”

Sam Gibson

On tagging Rory Sloane

“I got excited that I got an opportunity to come inside the contest. When you’re a winger sometimes you can think you’re a bit of a spectator.

“I’m a really task-oriented person and the simpler the task the easier it is. In my mind it just makes the game really simple.”

Todd Goldstein

On his battle with Sam Jacobs

“We always have a really good battle. We’ve come through the ranks together and have pretty similar game styles.

“We fought it out and it would have been pretty close. I don’t know who the judges gave the points to but it was good to get my hands on it and give our mids some sort of first use. It worked out there with Cunners getting 13 clearances.”

Jarrad Waite

On North’s ten-goal first term

“Obviously it was a really good first quarter for us, probably the best first quarter I’ve been involved in at the club.

“Everything went our way and we were able to limit their opportunities to go forward. It was just one of those quarters that went well for us.”
