Jack Ziebell is back in the North lineup and says he is better for the rest after being left out of the side that played Essendon.

The Roos listed the captain as ‘managed’ last week with Brad Scott declaring he had to save Jack from himself by omitting him because of the bruising way he plays.

“I’m well rested and have been well managed over the past week," Ziebell said after touching down in Hobart.

“I’m feeling good and can’t wait to get stuck in tomorrow. I just had a few little niggles that were probably just holding me back a little bit but as I’ve said before, there’s a heap of players going through something similar and carrying a few injuries at this time of year.

“Not being fully fit is part and parcel of the game and something that each player just has to manage and deal with.”

Ziebell said the Roos will look to use the unpredictable the conditions to their advantage, as well as a pretty handy player up forward.

“We’ve played four or five games down here in pretty windy conditions so there are some things we’ll talk about tomorrow that we will hopefully use to our advantage,” Ziebell said.

“The Demons are seventh on the ladder and are in really good form and we’ll have to be at our best to beat them tomorrow. We haven’t played that well in the last seven weeks so we’ll look to turn that around.

“We’ve got big Benny Brown in great form at the moment so we need to get the ball into his hands as much as possible. If we can do that, it will hold us in good stead.”

If North can get over the line against Melbourne at Blundstone Arena on Saturday afternoon, it will be club’s 17th straight win over the Demons.

“We love coming to Tassie … hopefully the weather holds off for tomorrow but we won’t be holding our breath.

“The forecast is for it to be a bit windy but I think we’ve got a good understanding of what’s required at the ground in those conditions so whether it be rain, hail or shine or whatever it ends up being tomorrow, we have the confidence that we’ve played in all sorts of conditions down here and we’ll be prepared no matter what.”
