To celebrate the decorated journey of three-time Syd Barker Medal winner, Andrew Swallow, we’ve scanned through his 224-game career and picked out the best of the best.

Think we’ve missed any? Let us know on Twitter, @NMFCOfficial and we'll add it to the list.

2009 Round 21 vs St Kilda, Etihad Stadium - 33 disposals, 8 tackles, 6 clearances, 1 goal, 3 Brownlow votes

When the 13th-placed Roos handed St Kilda just its second loss of the year, Swallow was brilliant.

It was his first three-Brownlow-vote performance from 61 games, following 12 contested possessions.

2010 Round 17 vs Essendon, Etihad Stadium - 27 disposals (98%), 17 contested, 15 tackles, 8 clearances, 2 goals, 1 Brownlow vote

It says a lot about a midfielder’s dominance when they’ve managed five shots on goal, but to also amass 15 tackles, 8 clearances and 7 inside 50’s, paints an even better picture.

In a three-point loss, Swallow got votes.

2011 Round 11 vs Adelaide, Etihad Stadium - 39 disposals, 27 contested, 17 clearances, 5 tackles, 2 goals, 3 Brownlow votes

Swallow had a remarkable 17 disposals and 10 clearances in the first quarter, setting the tone for perhaps his best career game.

He seemed to have the ball on a string, dominating the Crows’ midfield.

2011 Round 19 vs Carlton, Etihad Stadium - 33 disposals, 15 contested, 9 tackles, 9 clearances, 1 goal, 2 Brownlow votes

Despite a disappointing loss, Swallow was a clear standout. He owned the midfield with 15 contested disposals. His 33 possessions for the match was 11 ahead of his next best teammate.

2011 Round 22 vs Fremantle, Etihad Stadium - 30 disposals, 16 contested, 7 tackles, 7 clearances, 3 Brownlow votes

In a smashing of the Dockers, Swallow continued his brilliant 2011 campaign with another three-vote haul.

His 16 contested-possessions was six ahead of any other Kangaroo, and he was the leading disposal-winner on the ground, in just 78 per cent game-time.

2012 Round 15 vs West Coast, Bellerive Oval - 25 disposals, 14 tackles, 7 clearances, 1 goal, 1 Brownlow vote

The typical Andrew Swallow performance.

In a tight two-point loss to the Eagles in Hobart, Swallow left absolutely everything on the line, laying a mammoth 14 tackles to go with his 13 contested possessions. He earnt himself the solitary Brownlow vote in a losing side.

2012 Round 18 vs Melbourne, Etihad Stadium - 32 disposals, 17 contested, 17 tackles, 1 goal, 3 Brownlow votes

As North finished strongly in 2012, Swallow was at his brilliant best.

He laid a career-high 17 tackles against the Demons at Etihad Stadium, but was just as dominant with the ball, gathering 17 contested possessions.

Swallow was a clear stand-out for the top votes.

2013 Round 1 vs Collingwood, Etihad Stadium - 34 disposals, 9 tackles, 7 clearances, 3 Brownlow votes

Polling the maximum votes in a loss isn’t easy, but Swallow managed it on this occasion.

He was at his best through the middle as the leading disposal winner on the ground, and racked up 13 contested touches.

2013 Round 5 vs Hawthorn, MCG - 35 disposals, 14 contested, 9 clearances, 7 inside 50s, 3 Brownlow votes

In a tight affair, Swallow almost single-handedly dragged North over the line, with seven more disposals than any other player on the ground.

He pumped the ball inside 50 on seven occasions, finishing a clear best-on-ground in a three-point loss.

2016 Round 11 vs Richmond, Bellerive Oval - 28 disposals, 19 contested, 11 tackles, 10 clearances, 2 Brownlow votes

Back to his best after a quiet start to the year, Swallow’s stat-line resembles that of a triple-double; 20+ disposals, 10+ tackles and 10+ clearances.

He had a remarkable 19 contested possessions, leading his side to a huge 70-point victory at the Roos’ home away from home.
