North Melbourne will get an early taste of AFLX action this Friday when the club trials the shortened version of the game at Arden St.

The squad will be split into teams of ten (seven players and three interchange), with the teams rotating through a round-robin.

Fans are encouraged to get down to the club to watch the exciting new format before the official fixture kicks off in mid-February.

So, what is AFLX? 

AFLX is an exciting, fast paced version of Australian Rules Football played on a rectangular field, and is designed to show off the most thrilling aspects of the game.

North Melbourne has been pooled with Carlton, Essendon, St Kilda, Melbourne and Hawthorn for the Melbourne tournament to be held on February 16 at Etihad Stadium.

Tickets are available through Ticketmaster from Monday, January 22.
