Jack Ziebell says there was never any doubt Jed Anderson would become a “really important member” of North’s best 22.

Injuries and form impacted the former Hawk’s first two seasons as a Kangaroo, but he’s played the first five games of 2018 and impressed in a midfield role.

“I think Jed has always been a very capable player,” Ziebell told foxfooty.com.au.

“He’s probably had a bit of unfair treatment from the external football world. But we all truly believe strongly in Jed and what he’s capable of.”

Anderson has shown off his ability in the contested situation, and pace on the outside, transitioning from an attacking role into a more permanent on-baller.

“He has been really unlucky with injuries, don’t get me wrong about that,” Ziebell said.

“The effort that he puts in, the dedication and commitment that he’s showing, it’s awesome to see him getting reward for effort.

“Hopefully he can continue that because he’s becoming a really important member of our side.”

Anderson has averaged 15 disposals and 6 a game, with a career-high 23 possessions against Carlton in Round 4.
