Nat Fyfe is “super confident" a niggling knee problem won’t restrict him when he comes up against North Melbourne on Sunday, according to Fremantle coach Ross Lyon.

Fyfe had been under some doubt prior to last week’s loss to Sydney, but was ultimately able to play, and his 28-disposal effort suggested he wasn’t limited in the slightest.

Fremantle has continued to manage Fyfe this week, with the Dockers’ skipper undertaking a light training regime.

"His ligament's just rolling around a little bit there that gets caught occasionally," Lyon told Channel Seven.

"Connor Blakely's had it for the last 18 months and it hasn’t affected him, but every now and then it just catches him (Fyfe) – which it did pre-game and we thought we might lose him pre-game.

"But then he's fine. He was in my office tonight, super confident that the treatment is working well and he'll be at his best."

The 26-year-old has been arguably the player of the season so far, and has been dominant in Fremantle’s four home wins.

He could attract the attention of North's in-form tagger Ben Jacobs on Sunday.
