They were the stars of the show for North Melbourne on Saturday, and Jack Ziebell, Ben Brown and Majak Daw became the first Roos’ trio to kick four or more goals each since Round 3, 2016.

While the Kangaroos didn’t get the win, it wasn’t any fault of the forward line, with its three major attacking targets all having big days.

Ziebell equaled a career-best for goals in a game with his bag of five, while Brown and swingman Daw contributed four goals apiece.

It was over two years ago when Brent Harvey (6), Todd Goldstein (5) and Jarrad Waite (4) led the Roos to a five-point win over Melbourne at Blundstone Arena.

While Goldstein and Waite are still on the North list, the display on Sunday confirmed the changing of the guard in the front half.

Ziebell’s previous five-goal effort was against Collingwood in Round 20 of 2017, with the skipper showing just why he’s considered such a damaging attacking option .

It was Daw’s third haul of four or more goals of his career, with a six-goal effort his best against the Western Bulldogs in 2013.

As the Coleman Medal leader, Brown is no stranger to a bag of goals. Sunday’s effort was the number 50’s ninth haul of four or more in 2018 alone, and the 18th of his career, headlined by a seven-goal performance against Brisbane in Round 23, 2017.
