Melbourne Uni turned the tables on the Western Bulldogs in Round 9, coming away with a 33-point win on Saturday.

Continuing to improve from week-to-week, Melbourne Uni managed to hold the Dogs scoreless until half-time.

Captain Ash Riddell had another impressive day out with 25 disposals, 7 clearances and 5 insides 50s; the speedy midfielder constantly breaking the game open.

Other notable North AFLW players included Sophie Abbatangelo (13 disposals and 3 score assists) and Kaitlyn Ashmore (9 disposals and 18 pressure acts).

Tasmanian Maddy Smith was also impressive with 8 disposals and 7 tackles, while Maddy Prespakis again showed why she is one of the top draft prospects, finishing with 25 disposals, 5 clearances, and 6 inside 50s. 

Jacinta Limbrick from TSLW side Clarence didn’t miss a beat in her first VFLW game and was listed amongst the best players after an impressive performance at both ends of the ground.  

Melbourne Uni will play its last game of the season on Sunday against Williamstown at Main Oval, Melbourne University. The game will likely feature ten of North’s AFLW-listed talent, as well as Tasmanian draft prospect Chloe Haines.
