The North Melbourne Football Club was recognised with a top honour at the Australian Football Media Awards on Tuesday night.

North’s media team won the Most Outstanding Digital Coverage award for its innovation, engagement and content throughout the year. Particular mention went to the way it covered the National Draft and AFLW.

It is the club’s second major AFMA, and has been highly commended on two other occasions, as well as receiving two AFL Digital MVP awards and two AFL Most Outstanding Use of Social Media awards.

1977 North Melbourne premiership player Stan Alves capped off a great night for the Kangaroos, awarded Life Membership of the AFMA.
