New North Melbourne coach David Noble says he wants to lead a team that makes its members proud.

“To the sponsors, to the fans and particularly our members out there … I’m bloody excited to get stuck into the job,” he said on Monday.

“We want to be a reliable team that you guys can come in and watch, week in and week out and watch us grow.”

The Roos will go into the 2021 season with a new-look playing group, following the addition of four recruits during the exchange period, and a new-look coaching panel.

“There’ll be some frustration, there’s no doubt about that, but I’ve always believed that one of the great values of a member is for you to watch players grow, align to a particular player and watch them build and grow as they come through,” Noble said.

“When we finish appointing our coaches, I’m really confident that we are going to give you an opportunity to watch us play and walk out of the gates each and every weekend being proud of what we put out on the paddock.

“I’m not going to talk to you about wins, I’m not going to talk to you about losses – we are just going to continue to learn. We fall over, we’ll get ourselves up and continue to grow and take those opportunities to continue to get better. That is what I can guarantee.”
