  • Unfortunately for Warren, 2012 was the second successive season where he found himself unable to get a consistent senior position.
  • Early in the year he lit the VFL up with consistent bags of goals for Werribee and through the strength of that found himself making the trip to AAMI Stadium in Round 8.
  • A solid game (11 disposals, 1 goal) was not enough to keep his spot as Warren spent the rest of the year leading Werribee to a preliminary final berth.

Background

  • Recruited from Zillmere Eagles in Queensland
  • A mid-sized forward who is also a strong overhead mark

Season by Season

Season by Season

  • After playing the first game of the year, Warren found himself largely on the outer for the season.
  • With the return of Drew Petrie, the forward structure had changed and Warren was the unlucky man on the outer the majority of the time.
  • Impressive form for Werribee in the VFL enabled Warren to break back into the senior side for two more games against the Bulldogs and Brisbane but limited return meant his stay was not a long one.

  • A promising first season at senior level in 2009 led to a career best year in 2010 for Warren.
  • Working as a high half forward, Warren used his superior workrate to burn off opponent and offer a target around the 50 for the midfielders.
  • Averaging almost five marks a game and also providing defensive pressure, Warren kicked two bags of three late in the year, just reward for his efforts.
