After being overlooked in the first two AFLW drafts, Riddell finally earned her opportunity at the top level with North Melbourne's introduction into the competition.

With each passing game, the decision by the rest of the competition to not snap Riddell up proved more and more mystifying, as she evolved into one of the game’s elite ball-winners.

In the Kangaroos’ first premiership season in 2024, she averaged a team-high 29.3 disposals, including 30-plus on eight occasions across the season.

She also kicked five goals for the campaign including two at Casey Fields against Melbourne in Week 3.

The onballer finished runner-up in the Club Champion vote count and was also awarded Best Clubwoman in recognition of her team-first approach on and off the field.

She was named standalone vice-captain ahead of the 2025 season.
