Round 1 winner: Emma King.

9 - Emma Kearney

A difficult situation before and during the game with the weather and blackout called for cool heads, and the Roos' inspirational skipper stood up both on and off the field.

Kearney finished with 22 disposals, despite copping plenty of attention from the opposition.

17. Jamie Stanton

The hard-at-it midfielder racked up 18 disposals and laid 8 tackles in an impressive diplay.

25. Jasmine Garner

The key-forward was vital in attack early, but also made an impact through the midfield late, finishing with 13 touches and a goal.

27. Jess Duffin

Despite the conditions, Duffin was all class, with her neat skills and calmness under pressure a highlight. She had 18 possessions.

31. Danielle Hardiman

The key-defender was again a pillar in defence and found plenty of the footy, gathering 15 touches.

35. Jenna Bruton

Bruton continues to prove a great recruit for the Roos, combining with Kearney as a strong ball-winner through the middle.

Another 18 disposals and 9 tackles was the result of a great night's work.
