New recruit Hugh Greenwood hits the track at Arden Street

While the first- to fourth-year players have been hard at work at Arden Street for the past two weeks, the club's pre-season stepped up another notch with the senior players' return on Monday.

Free agency arrival Hugh Greenwood donned North Melbourne colours for the first time as he started forming relationships with his fellow midfielders, No.1 draft pick Jason Horne-Francis included, while ruck veteran Todd Goldstein's return saw him begin work with trade period pick-up Callum Coleman-Jones.

Though there’s been some veteran presence at the club over these last two weeks, Jack Ziebell and his leadership group's full return will set the standards for this young list.

Josh Goater, Miller Bergman and Jackson Archer will start their defensive education under the likes of Aaron Hall and Aidan Corr, while Paul Curtis’ forward craft will undoubtedly improve under the tutelage of the club’s more experienced goal-sneaks.

While the entire list will not return until the new year, with Ben Cunnington undergoing chemotherapy and Kyron Hayden and Jed Anderson still interstate, the hard work for 2022 starts here for our young, exciting and new-look list.
