Port Adelaide forward duo Orazio Fantasia and Charlie Dixon are available to make their returns to senior football this week but are unlikely to be selected, according to Power forwards coach Nathan Bassett.

Fantasia suffered a knee injury requiring surgery early in the new year, his third knee operation since May 2021, while Dixon made his return to the SANFL last week as he progresses his recovery from an ankle injury.

"[Dixon] had his first hitout on Saturday and it was good for him to be our there … he's probably a little off in his usual movement currently. Whether that's good enough or not this week we'll find out as the week goes on," Bassett said.

"Orazio is available to play footy as well this week … he's done a bit more than Charlie in running volume.

"He's pretty close to being ready to go but I think it'd be unlikely we select him, certainly in the 22 this week."

The impending return of Fantasia and Dixon is offset of the fresh unavailability of Riley Bonner and former Roo Trent Dumont.

Dumont will miss the game due to health and safety protocols while Bonner will miss this week's clash due to an ankle injury suffered against the Western Bulldogs.

"Riley's [ankle] isn't broken, so that's good," Bassett said.

"It's a standard sprain. I've been told there's no syndesmosis so I'd imagine he's unlikely to play this week."
