North Melbourne has achieved an amazing milestone by reaching 40,000 members for the first time in club history.

In April the Roos’ membership record was passed with 35,246 members signing up, trumping the previous record set at the end of 2013.

Managing Director and CEO Carl Dilena said it was a fantastic result to have so many members ‘Rise Together’ and contribute to the success of the club.

“It’s a credit to our members that we have reached this significant and exciting benchmark,” Dilena said.

“Our loyal and passionate supporters are integral to us and we wouldn’t be where we are today without them. They are committed to being a part of our future and working together to achieve the ultimate success as a team.

“This record was a key target in our five year strategic plan written in 2010 so it is a significant achievement for everyone involved in our club.”

More than half of the membership base committed to being a Troo Roo For Life; a category which automatically renews each year. Interstate and international memberships have grown by 37 per cent and the Roos’ partnership with Tasmania continues to discover new fans.

“Our Tasmanian numbers have increased by 7 per cent to 4,145 members, which has been brilliant in creating a ‘home’ ground atmosphere in Hobart,” Dilena added.

“We have had significant rises in every membership category, particularly our Huddle community memberships which have increased by 27 per cent meaning we have been able to bring more disadvantaged children and their families to games.”

The club will be thanking its 40,000 members by offering a variety of prizes to show its appreciation.

Prizes include:
