VFL: Nahas on target

An undermanned Werribee outfit was thrashed by Footscray to the tune of 131 points, but that didn’t stop Robin Nahas hitting the scoreboard.

The North rookie booted six of his team’s nine goals, to stake a claim for a recall to AFL level.

Werribee finished with just 16 players on the field, with much of its squad and Roos’ contingent having played in the match against the AFL Academy on Friday night.

Trent Dumont and Farren Ray were the leading possession-winners at the Whitten Oval, racking up 20 apiece, as well as seven and six clearances respectively.

Mason Wood had an impact in attack, finishing with 17 disposals and two goals, and Joel Tippett had 16 possessions.
