North Melbourne will have an extra spot on its senior list ahead of the upcoming Draft by shifting Kyron Hayden onto the Rookie list.

The move will mean Hayden will be delisted, but re-selected by North in the Rookie Draft.

“We are always looking at what the club needs and how we can achieve that,” North GM of football Cameron Joyce said.

"Kyron has another year left on his contract and nothing will really change for him other than him being listed as a Rookie in 2019.

"It doesn't preclude him from playing senior football and his contract remains as is."

Hayden was selected with North's third pick (62) in the 2017 Draft and had an interrupted start to his AFL career with shoulder surgery. He played 14 VFL games.
