Emma King has hit the ground running with her new club, with the ruck winning the first AFLW Players’ MVP of the Week for 2019.

The 24-year-old dominated the polling, receiving a remarkable 45 per cent of the fans’ vote.

In her first game for North, King racked up 16 hit-outs, 10 disposals, 7 tackles and 2 goals. Her outstanding efforts helping the Kangaroos to a thumping 36-point win over Carlton on Sunday afternoon in Hobart.
