Courteney Munn has been named as one of Round 3's NAB AFLW Rising Stars after her remarkable four goal debut.

Her first goal came in the second quarter when she managed to break away from her opponent and find space in a vacant goal square.

She secured her second goal for the night after taking a strong pack mark just minutes later.

Munn finished her night with an impressive fourth quarter goal, dribbling the ball through from a tight angle in the right pocket.

Collecting 11 disposals, 4 marks and 2 tackles, she stood as a tall target in the forward 50.

North coach Scott Gowans said it was a night for Munn to remember.

“Courteney has been training really well and she made the most of the opportunity on Friday night,” Gowans said.

“She took strong pack marks and read the play beautifully, and most of all, she supported her teammates.

“She took the contest on, which is what we encourage the girls to do out there.”

Munn’s debut was a testament to the depth of the side.

“We have built a list with depth and versatility. I think Courteney’s debut demonstrated we do have girls pushing for selection that can come into the side and really make an impact,” Gowans added.

The 182cm forward was drafted to the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos with pick 36 in the 2018 NAB AFLW Draft from the Southern Saints in the VFLW.
