North Melbourne speedster Aaron Hall appears to have escaped serious damage to his knee, according to the club’s head of football, Cameron Joyce.

Hall was helped from the ground early in the first quarter of the Kangaroos’ first pre-season hit-out against the Saints, after two players fell across both his legs. However his left leg was trapped and a cause for initial concern.

“It was a nasty looking incident at first glance and again on the replay, but thankfully Aaron has avoided what easily could have been a pretty bad injury,” Joyce told North Media.

“He had scans yesterday which came back positive, so it was a great outcome for him and the club.”

Joyce said a decision on whether Hall would line-up for North’s second warm-up encounter this weekend against Port Adelaide would be made later in the week.

“Although he’s escaped serious injury, we’ll monitor him over the next couple of days and assess his availability.
