2018 draftee Joel Crocker is set to play his first match in over 10 months when takes to the field in the VFL on Saturday.

Crocker suffered a season-ending ankle-injury in May last year, and has undergone a long and patient recovery, having joined North Melbourne via the Draft in November.

The father-son recruit will line up in the Roos’ VFL practice match against Williamstown at Canning Reserve, Avondale Heights.

He’s one of six AFL-listed players in action, with forwards Taylor Garner, Cameron Zurhaar and Nick Larkey, defender Tom Murphy and versatile tall Declan Watson also set to take the field.

With the AFL team enjoying the weekend off before Round 1, it’s a final opportunity to get some valuable run in the legs.

Fans are invited to attend the practice match, with food and beverages available.
