Fremantle will be without Jesse Hogan for this Sunday’s season-opener, after the club stood down the star recruit after he consumed alcohol and missed a training session on Sunday.

“Jesse will not be available for selection for Sunday’s game against North Melbourne at Optus Stadium while he focuses on his personal management of clinical anxiety,” Dockers' general manager, football, Peter Bell, said.

“Jesse made poor choices around alcohol consumption on Saturday evening prior to our training run at Optus Stadium on Sunday and as a result he did not take part in training.”

The 24-year-old’s unavailability means he will join forwards Brennan Cox (hamstring), Matt Taberner (hamstring/calf) and Brandon Matera (suspension) on the sidelines.
