Kayne Turner is remaining tight lipped about what position he’ll play this weekend, after impressing in a defensive role against the Cats.

With the likes of Marley Williams (personal), Luke McDonald (knee) and Scott Thompson (adductor) all a chance to return to the side this weekend, Turner could play at either end.

“I think it comes down to who is going to play this week,” he told North Media.

“I don’t mind playing down back, but I wouldn’t mind going back up forward as well.”

If Turner does return to the forward-line, the 23-year-old believes he’ll impart some of the learnings he took from playing on Geelong superstar Gary Ablett last Sunday.

“It was obviously a really good learning experience for me, being a small forward,” Turner said.

“I can take away a few things from what he did and how well he did it.”

Taking on Sydney on Saturday night at Blundstone Oval, North will face a huge challenge.

“They’re (the Swans) always a really tough side,” Turner said.

“We’ve always had some good battles with them over the past few years, but we love playing down in Tassie.

“It’s obviously going to be a hard-fought match.

"They’ve got those tough inside midfielders, as do we, so it’ll be a really contested battle.”
