Bailey Scott will undergo surgery on Tuesday night after fracturing a bone in his left foot.

The 18-year-old landed awkwardly in a tackle in the second term in North's VFL clash against Frankston on Sunday afternoon.

“Bailey is a valuable addition to our group and we will be taking a precautionary approach to his recovery,” GM football Cameron Joyce said.

“He’s an important part of the future of the club and has great potential.

“At this stage we won’t be putting a time frame on his return, rather will be taking a long term approach to his recovery.”

Scott was awarded a Rising Star nomination in his Round 1 debut.
