Each week, the best VFL player will be crowned MVP – Presented by the Limerick Castle; a country-style pub located in the heart of North Melbourne.

Round 15: Tom Campbell.

Tom Campbell’s dominance at state level continued, with the ruckman listed as the best-performed Roo for the fifth time in 2019.

Campbell reenforced his reputation as one of the league’s most consistent big men, shining despite North Melbourne’s loss to Essendon by 50 points at Windy Hill in the VFL.

“He’s such a fantastic player and such a great guy to work with,” senior coach David Loader told North Media.

“Tom’s football ability speaks for itself and what he’s able to do on the park every week. There’s no secret that he gets those results, he’s a star.”

The 27-year-old was strong overhead, providing first use to his midfielders, including a rampant Luke Davies-Uniacke.

“His numbers are incredible,” Loader added.

“Above that, it’s just the way he prepares, how professional he is and the way he goes about his footy.

“Today his ability to take the ruck, follow-up and then compete and win clearances was phenomenal.

“He’s an exceptionally good player and AFL player.”

Campbell finished his shift with 29 disposals, 38 hit-outs and a goal.
