Tasmanian Mia King will become the seventh new Shinboner of 2020, after being named to debut against the Gold Coast Suns on Saturday.

King is one of two additions to the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos’ team, proudly powered by Powershop.

The number 23 was the club’s third selection at last year’s Draft, 49th overall, and was named in the forward line in the under 18 All-Australian team.

Known for her toughness in the contest, the 18-year-old got the news from coach Scott Gowans on Thursday.

Danielle Hardiman will be a welcome inclusion in defence, after missing last week due to calf soreness, while Beth Lynch and Abbey Green have been omitted.

Saturday’s match will be the Roos’ first ever AFLW game at Arden Street, with a big crowd expected to cheer on the girls.
