As one of Roos’ toughest players across the last decade, Jack Ziebell epitomises the term ‘Shinboner’.

But according to the skipper, there’s one man who stood above the pack when it came to playing the North Melbourne way.

“Glenn Archer; the way he went about his football typifies what our club’s about,” Ziebell said, in the latest episode of Reminiscing.

Ziebell said Archer was a deserving recipient of the Shinboner of the Century, and someone he looked to model his own game on.

“The way he (Archer) cares about our footy club, and through some pretty tough times he was the man standing at the front of the line ready to take it all on … it typifies why he’s the greatest Shinboner of all.

“The way he played, with no real regard for his safety, doing whatever it took to get his teammates over the line, I think really resonates with me.”
