The North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos said a complex three way pick swap with St Kilda and Melbourne would improve their position in the upcoming 2020 NAB AFLW Draft.

The Kangaroos received St Kilda’s second round (pick 22) and fourth round selections.

In exchange, the Kangaroos’ pick 29 went to the Demons, with pick 40 and its fourth round selection traded to the Saints.

“As it stands, we will be going into the Draft with two picks in the top 14 of the Victorian Draft pool,” North AFLW list and football performance manager, Rhys Harwood said.

“This puts us in an good position to bring in some top-end talent, from a draft group that we think is particularly strong.”

The Kangaroos currently have pick 13, 22 and St Kilda’s fourth round selection.
