The Huddle CEO, Cam McLeod and Social Cohesion Education Coordinator, Emma Kearney, featured on the US-based podcast ‘Learn Fresh’, to discuss how leveraging the power of sport can create positive outcomes for youth in Australia.
In partnership with Math Hoops, ‘Learn Fresh’ is a board game new to the Australian market.
“No longer is sport just seen as a vehicle to win, it’s seen as a vehicle where we can shift attitudes and behaviours. Where we can create safe and inclusive environments for people of all different backgrounds, regardless of their gender, culture, sexual orientation, age or ability,” McLeod said.
Hosted by Nick Monzi and Calvin Sibert, the podcast explores fundamental issues impacting education today, including racial and gender equity, innovative learning models, cross-sector collaboration in education, and the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the education landscape.
